1月30日 All Meshed UpI am officially “meshed”. I’ve added the last piece of the live mesh puzzle. My part time job, Phonedog.com. Has supplied me with a Sprint HTC Touch Pro. One of the most up-to-date Windows Mobile devices. Now that I have a Windows Mobile device, I can use Live mesh to its fullest extent. Right now Live mesh for Win-Mo, is more or less a tool for syncing Photo’s & Doc’s. However in the future it could be used for much much more. I have about 8-9 computers and devices in my Live Mesh network. It is an awesome way to sync your digital life from one place to another. One of its other use’s, is to send huge files over the internet. I’ve used this process to send the Windows 7 Beta ISO to my entire Mesh network. Which saved me a ton of time, when it came to upgrading all the computers. Which happen to be scattered all across the USA. So it would be impossible for me to get to all of them in timely manner. One the things that impresses me the most about Live Mesh, is its speed. I’m not 100% sure how they do it… but Mesh is fast. It gets files from here to there very very fast. Personally I can not wait until Live Mesh matures into a full featured development platform. Which Microsoft promises is coming. Anyone else having fun with Mesh? I know I have been. 1月15日 Windows 7, How Microsoft will save itselfNo matter what Microsoft tells us… Window 7 is a major release. Vista may have been one “their” major releases….. but my definition of major is different. The XP to Vista jump was huge, however no one was ready for that. Consumer’s, Manufacture’s, Retailers or even Microsoft itself. Now that Vista is “behind” us, we can look forward to MS’s next generation OS. Microsoft knows that it is at a crossroad. It knows that the next OS must be a knockout….. or at least well received. If build 7000 of the beta is any indication, Microsoft has a winner on its hands. I have been using the beta since build 6801, and I’ve found it to be an very enjoyable beta (when is the last time you could say that about a beta?) Windows 7 brings many new features and benefits to the Windows environment. The biggest thing however, is Windows 7 will be remembered as the OS’s that saved Microsoft. I look forward to the final version of windows 7 & how the public will warm to it. For now I’m just glad that I’m a part of a community that enjoys Windows as much as I do. 1月5日 Windows 7 On A Pair Of Ancient Laptops...
